Barbequed Kebabs

  • 400 grams lean rump steak trimmed and cubed
  • 3 red capsicums deseeded and sliced
  • 1 Punnet of cherry tomatoes
  • 1 zucchini
  • 250 grams mushrooms
  • 8 bamboo skewers soak skewers in water so they will not burn during cooking


  • 1.5 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tablespoon barbeque sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper


  1. Combine marinade ingredients in a shallow dish
  2. Add the steak and mix to combine
  3. Remove the meat from the marinade (set marinade aside for later)
  4. Thread the capsicum, tomatoes, zucchini, mushrooms and the steak pieces onto the bamboo skewers.
  5. Heat a large non-stick frying pan over high heat
  6. Cook the kebabs, brushing each side with reserved marinade, for 3-4 minutes each side or until cooked to your liking. Serve immediately
