Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup reduced fat milk
  • 1/2 cup reduced fat flavoured yoghurt
  • 1 cup fresh fruit e.g. banana, strawberries or rockmelon chopped
  • 2 teaspoons wheatgerm (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon honey (optional)

Directions

  1. Place all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth
  2. Serve immediately in a tall glass

What was swapped?

Full fat milk and yoghurt were swapped for reduced fat dairy products

Tips

If you need a dairy free version, use calcium enriched soy milk and soy yoghurt

For a lactose free version, simply use a lactose-free milk and lactose-free yoghurt

This smoothie is great as an emergency breakfast when you are running late, or as a healthy snack for a hungry teenager after school!
